Formentera Lady

Formentera Lady és el títol d'un tema de King Crimson inclòs en el seu quart LP Islands publicat el 1971. King Crimson va tocar a Granollers el 1973. Aquest és un concert mític pels que van assistir ja que va significar el primer concert d'una banda internacional de prestigi a Catalunya. Podia haver estat el meu primer gran concert, però no vaig trobar la manera d'arribar a Granollers. Vaig haver d'esperar uns mesos per anar a veure Santana al pavelló municipal de Barcelona del carrer Lleida. Era a finals de 1973.

A principis dels 70 Formetera era una illa de destinació per músics. La lletra fa referència a l'illa, al seu paisatge, un lloc diferent on escapar-se. Encara era l'època del hippisme en aquella illa.

Per cert, Formentera Lady també ha estat el títol d'una novel·la de Jordi Cussà. És una mena de continuació de la seva primera novel·la "Cavalls Salvatges". Formentera Lady també és el títol d'una pel·lícula espanyola de 2018 dirigida per Pau Durà i protagonitzada per José Sacristan que interpreta a un vell hippy.
